Hayley, Potatoes, and Gravy

Hayley, my baby loves Baileys
Gin and tonic hits the note for me:
Sing the same old song, both forgetting the key

Hayley, still swiggin' her Baileys
Hit rock bottom till the bottom's up
while we drift from the tonic to an octave apart
ee-yeah-ah!

Drink with me
in the last chance saloon,
sing a different tune:
Potatoes and gravy,
grab a bite my baby

and dance with me
under a waning pale moon,
slur and I will croon:
shower like a comet,
hail, Hayley's vomit!

I have tried, Hayley, love...
What's a fool like me to do with

Hayley, still swiggin' her Baileys
Sweetness soothing all the pain in her heart:
Sing the same old song, save forgetting the part

Hayley, we're on the rocks baby
Drowning sorrows till they're off the charts
while we drift from the tonic to an octave apart
ee-yeah-ah!

Drink with me
in the last chance saloon,
sing a different tune:
Potatoes and gravy
grab a bite my baby

and dance with me
under a waning pale moon,
slur and I will croon:
shower like a comet,
hail, Hayley's vomit!

I have tried, Hayley, love...
What's a fool like me to do with

Hayley, potatoes, and gravy
Hayley, potatoes, and gravy
My Hayley,
she don't stomach the gravy
My Hayley,
she don't stomach the gravy,
only Baileys
