Amy

'A friendly hi' was whispered to me
by a sylph who wanders at sea
She lifts me like a flower balloon
yearning for the daily blue moon

By night
Sun sets, a billion rise

She likes to read deep in the woods,
turning pages into babbling brooks
Over pebbles, under a spell
Snuggled up, lowered down,
fading into a wishing well

Amy, bel esprit
Amy, take me to dreamland

In my pillow you place a Bête,
very scary but he's not a threat:
He only wants to ring a Belle,
though daisies will never tell
So...

Split a nightmare in two
and there's a lady horse giving the cue:
'Amy please take some hair
for your bow and your violin,
wouldn't you like to play along?'

Amy, stay with me
Amy, meet me in dreamland

By night
Sun sets, a billion rise

Amy, bel esprit
Amy, meet me in dreamland
